An alternative to using Readers' Tickets and Book Cards. A great number of schools find this an excellent system which is economical and simple to operate. Printed on good quality board, with printing on front and reverse of card allows for extended use. When the 35X is used, the card carries the Title and Author of the book. Up to the point of borrowing the 35X remains in the book pocket affixed to the inside of the book. As a book is borrowed, the borrower's name and date of issue are recorded on the card, which remains in the 35XZ Issue Tray until the book is returned, at which time the cycle is completed by the card being replaced in the book. You may use DE2, BC3 or VR5 Book Pockets, it is purely a matter of choice. As a further alternative the L.P. Series (combined date label and pocket) may be used to replace separate date labels and book pockets.
